What is AgoForward?

AgoForward is the future of electronic communication...the Sorority's FREE, permanent, portable email service. Your email address will never change again! You can change jobs, switch service providers, or change your user ID without affecting your electronic mail address. AgoForward provides you a permanent yet personal identity on the Internet. AgoForward will provide you with a virtual email address. All mail sent to this virtual address will then be forwarded to your current address with your Internet Provider or employer. After you sign-up with AgoForward, all that remains is for you to change your Return Address in your email program and tell all your friends that your new email address is YourName@agonian-kappa.org. It's just that simple. As long as you keep the forward mail address up-to-date at AgoForward, our system will forward all of your mail to that location and you will never be out of touch.

Who needs AgoForward?

1. People that change providers, jobs or relocate frequently.

2. People that do not have a "REAL" Internet address. (e.g. 12345.6789@msn.com)

3. People that do not want to use their work e-mail address for personal purpose. They can tell their work related contact YourName@YourWork.com while telling all their friends YourName@agonian-kappa.org and still receive all your mail at work

How does AgoForward help me find other sisters?

AgoForward is very unique in the fact that if you want to send an email to a sister, but you don't know their email address, you can just type in their first initial and last name (for example jsmith@agonian-kappa.org).  If the sister has setup the email account already, the message will get to her.  If she hasn't set up her account yet, you will either get an error message back saying that they can't find the email address or a message that says the sisters name does exist, but she hasn't set up her account yet.

How do I know how to type a sister's email address?

All email addresses are made up of the first initial and last name @agonian-kappa.org.  If there are any other syntax in the sisters name (for example Joan O'Brien or Joan Smith-Ross) the syntax will be replace with an underscore (for example jo_brien@agonian-kappa.org and jsmith_ross@agonian-kappa.org).

How do I use AgoForward?

1. Submit a request using the online form to sign up

2. Wait for your Account Activation Notice (could take up to a week, usually within 24 hours)

3. Change the Return Address setting in your email software to your new AgoForward Address. Some email software label the return address as "Your Email Address". This is the ONLY setting you should change. Changing anything else may disrupt your email service. Some email software such as AOL's do not allow you to change your Return Address. In that case just put your AgoForward address in your email signature.

4. For the LAST time, tell all your friends your new AgoForward address.

5. Send and receive email like you always have.

How do I Read my mail at AgoForward?

Actually, you do not. AgoForward is an email forwarding service. All mail sent to your AgoForward address will be Forwarded to your real address. Use your current email software like you always have to send and read your email.

Junk Mail?

AgoForward will NOT sell our subscriber list to junk mail services or corporate entities!! This is something that will not change. AgoForward is a service mark of the Agonian Alumnae Association.
